Rice Krispies Treats

Recipe Details

Ingredients:
  • 1 package (10 oz, about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ¼ cup butter

Melt butter in a large saucepan. (Brown butter for a yummy taste.) Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

 

Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

 

Press mixture evenly into a 13×9 pan coated with cooking spray.

 

Cut into squares when cool.

 

Makes 24 treats, 2”x2”

 

Microwave instructions: (doesn’t taste as yummy because you can’t brown the butter)

Microwave butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 2 minutes in a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir to combine. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute longer. Stir until smooth. Add cereal. Stir until well coated. Press into pan and cut.
