Kari’s Breadsticks

Recipe Details

Prep Time: 13 Minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 T yeast
  • 2 T sugar – sprinkle on yeast
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 ½ t salt

Put in Bosch and mix:

1 ½ cups warm water

2 T yeast

2 T sugar – sprinkle on yeast

Let sit for a minute while yeast grows then add:

3 cups flour

1 ½ t salt

Mix and knead for 3 minutes.

Cover and let sit for 10 minutes.

Roll out on large rectangle cutting board.  Spread soft butter on dough.  Cut into 24 strips with pizza cutter.   Like this:

Pick up each strip and fold in half.  Stretch and twist together.  Spray 2 cookie sheets with Vegalene.  Put 12 breadsticks on each cookie sheet.  Optional:  Sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese.  Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until just slightly golden.
