Recipe Details
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 3 Sticks of Butter
- 1 Cup Water
- 6 T Cocoa
- 2 Eggs
- ½ Cup Buttermilk
- 5 T Milk (a little less than 1/3 cup)
- 2 Tsp Vanilla
- 4 Cups of Powdered Sugar
- ½ Cup Chopped Nuts (opt)
Put together and set aside in a large bowl:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
In pan on stove put:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup water
- 3 T cocoa
Stir and bring to a boil. Pour over flour mix and add:
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Beat all and pour into a large 17×11 cookie pan. Bake 15 minutes at 400°.
5 minutes before cake is done start the frosting.
Frosting:
- 1 stick butter
- 3 T cocoa
- 5 T milk (a little less than 1/3 cup)
Bring to a boil and add:
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- ½ cup chopped nuts (opt)
Pour over cake as soon as cake is removed from oven.
