Cracker Jacks

Recipe Details

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 qts popped corn
  • 1 cup shelled peanuts

Mix and boil to soft ball stage.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup molasses

Then add:

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Boil to a hard ball stage or until it spins a hair when dropped from a spoon. 

Pour mixture over:

  • 3 qts popped corn
  • 1 cup shelled peanuts
