Breakfast Casserole (Mary Allen)

Recipe Details

Cook Time: 40 Minutes
Ingredients:
  • 8 slices of bread
  • Sausage or ham cooked
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 or 3 c milk
  • ½ tsp dry mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup butter - melted
  • Corn flakes - crushed

  • ½ cup butter – melted
  • Corn flakes – crushed

Butter slices of bread and put them upside down in bottom of 9×13 pan.  Put sausage on top of bread and sprinkle with cheese.   Beat eggs, milk, mustard and salt together.  Pour egg mixture over the pan.  Let set over night.  Next morning pour melted butter on top and put crushed corn flake crumbs on top.

Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.
