Overnight French Toast

Recipe Details

Cook Time: 45 Minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf challah egg bread (from Albertsons) or Hawaiian bread torn into pieces
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 ½ t vanilla
  • cinnamon
  • 1 heaping t butterscotch pudding mix (dry)
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • ½ C melted butter
  • 2 T maple syrup

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 ½ t vanilla
  • cinnamon
  • 1 heaping t butterscotch pudding mix (dry)
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • ½ C melted butter
  • 2 T maple syrup

Grease 9×13 pan. 

  1. Place torn bread in pan.
  2. Mix milk, vanilla and eggs in a separate bowl.  Pour over bread.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon and pudding on top.
  4. Mix melted butter, syrup and brown sugar.  Pour over top of egg mixture.
  5. Let soak overnight, covered.
  6. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. 
  7. Serve with butter and warm syrup. 

Pecans optional.
